You should see it at the bottom left side of the screen when you actually open go into a topic. It's right next to the icons that a plain unmodded phpbb2 board shows. A clean board has four icons there for deleting, moving, locking and splitting topics, and this mod adds a fifth icon for merging right next to those four. Can you at least see the other four icons? If you see them but you don't see this, perhaps you didn't make the changes this mod has you make to your live template? Are you using subSilver or another template?

You are correct, you don't need both mods. The reason I have them both on my board is that if a moderator only wants to merge one full topic into another, this mod is simpler for him to use. But when he wants to split apart parts of a topic and move or copy them to their own topic or into a new topic, he can use that other mod.

The other mod allows you to do everything that this mod does so you don't need to do that, but if you're like me you may want to so that a simple merge is easier for your moderators to do.
