[REQ] User moderates own topic mod?

There is such a mod available for phpbb2. Is there anyone who would be interested in making aphpbb3 version?

Check the forum permissions for the registered users group, I think there is a topic self-moderation option.

Checked but didn't see one...
Only the usual about editing and deleting own posts and lock own topic. No moderation I'm afraid.

I want the users to be able to moderate their own topics and be able to edit/delete other users' messages in their own thread.

Looking at the "moderate own topic" mod thread, I saw this:

Similar to a feature coming in Olympus, this MOD allows the starter of a topic basic moderation tools to moderate their own topic.

Does anyone know, if it will finally be a feature? I have gone through Forum Permissions and Group Permissions in phpbb3 ACP but saw no such option available.

Well, strangely enough, this has not been included among the standard permission features of phpbb3. Since user self moderation is quite a useful feature (already included in other board software such as SMF) is there someone able to write such a mod?

allow the original poster the option to delete posts in their own thread within a specified forum.

Yeap! And another useful feature would be to add the capability for a user (or user group) to be able to delete their posts (in whatever forums are set from ACP).

This is a very good idea and I asked once about it back in the phpbb2 days.

Yes, we would use it on our forum but I would not give the feature to standard registered members. It would be a privilege given to a membership class somewhere in between registered member status and moderator status. We call them 'Topic Leaders.'
