Yes, please! :D

However I feel that the podcast volume was too low. Had to max my speakers to be able to hear only slightly better. :( just a friendly feedback. I love the podcasts anyway! :)

Hm. First complaint we've had about the volume. Have you checked your system volume (not necessarily the same as your speaker volume)?

ah! ok. My bad. My "Wave" volume was set to low. And btw it wasn't exactly a "complaint". :D

Thanks, Techie-Micheal!

With Google, I found this:
About 5,370,000 English pages for "Powered by phpBB". That's not accurate, but it's ballpark.

Anyway. Could I officially request a discussion on the ethics of reading PMs (as discussed http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 4&t=582659)? If so, I am.

Actually searching for

Code: Select all

 "Powered by phpBB" inurl:faq.php
gives a little bit better ballpark of 1,830,000 which is probably still larger than the actual amount of installations.
I appreciate gifts from my Amazon wishlist.

Personally I really liked the cookie and coppa discussions with the deapth they went into on the first podcast. As we're developing a mod that is dealing with cookies, it was very interesting and the COPPA was very useful as a UK person

See thats why I liked the idea of making the "powered by phpbb" on my templates to be pictures so you spammers can search for that and find the particular site as easily..

I noticed podcast.phpbb.com is gone. Does that mean the experiment is over or just down?

Edit: I was by no means trying to infer that anyone on here is a spammer..

The server is down at the moment. We're working on it. :)

I really liked episode 2 and especially the AJAX stuff (and favourite feature was fun too). One thing I thought was that you'd explain "geeky" terms after talking about them a bit. Personally I would have gone with the "AJAX allows you to refresh part of the page without refreshing the whole page" much earlier. I'm sure its not entirely accurate but its a very simple explanation. Having said that, I suppose the podcast is always going to be aimed at fairly technical people (and I don't really know much but thoroughly enjoyed and understood it).

Just some thoughts...

You can find the episodes and more information at the podcast site.

As mentioned in the podcast, please post comments and suggestions in this topic. Please note that the email address mentioned in the podcast and shownotes has not been created.

And yes, we are aware of the sounds. We had forgotten to change the setting for that.

Episode 1 is about 45 minutes long, so sit back and enjoy the smooth stylings of the phpBB Team!
