[ABD] Drag 'n Drop Forum List

Post by EXreaction »

Allows each viewer of your forum to customize the organization of the forum listing with Drag 'n Drop, and saves the layout via cookies.

Demo: http://www.lithiumstudios.org/phpBB3/index.php
Download: http://www.lithiumstudios.org/phpBB3/vi ... f=31&t=496

Install time - <1 min

This won't support a style unless it uses <ul> <li> lists for the forum lists (so subsilver is not supported).

Author Notes:
This mod is only possible because of the Javascript code I've found which was made by Tim Taylor Consulting < http://tool-man.org >

Original Javascript code was found here:

HI

Don't suppose you know how to make the changes permanent i.e. store the changed positions in a cookie or database?

Cheers

The changes are saved in cookies. :)

It's possible, but I do not know enough Javascript to be able to do it. The only reason I could do this was because all the Javascript was done already and I just made it compatible with the forum list.

Do you mean the left menu on the User Blogs Mod?

It may be possible to integrate it into the mod, I will have a look at it sometime.

Hey, nice job i knew someone was able to implement this on phpbb3, but im having a little bit of problem, i dont have the slightest idea how to use this, when i try dragging the title of the forum, it just highlights everything..

Could you do a brief explanation of this mod?

Try dragging from a blank area.
