after playing with the calendar mod i feel that i is a great tools ... cheers ...

i had successfully modified and migrate the topic calendar code to version 3 code and its working except that i found a bug in the code ...

i was quite surprise about the bug at first and i testing with the version 2 code and Bingo ... there is a bug in version 2 as well ...

the calendar.php has two mode one for scheduler and the other mode is calendar mode ... the bug appears in scheduler mode only ... the bug was discovered when i hand many events in a row ... the left side of the calendar will shows three months in a row and also the day will be bold when there is an event there ... and the right side only shows the event on the day that is selected ... if there is too many events ... you will notice that all the events will pile up all the way until the end of the third month ... that is to say there if i had only two events in each month ... at the end of the third month i have a total of 6 events and the events repeated by itself throughout the month ...

i hope that the original author can look into this and rectified the bug ...

many thanks ...

please enlighten me if i had done anything wrong ...

Hello everyone,

I know this is a mostly dead topic but I decided to ask anyway. I already have the Event Registration 2.0.2 mod installed on my board (along with many others--it's pretty heavily modded at this point). I tried to install the calendar and got a lot of fatal errors. I did it twice, by hand in Notepad, and I know it's not a mistake on my part. I think it's conflicting with Event Registration. I noticed BlackburnRavers had this problem but I couldn't understand what his/her solution was. Has anyone been able to successfully integrate these two mods? Any and all help is much appreciated...

I manage to try and error and found the problem to the code ...
Tested working.
I hope you can verify that and put it in the new release.

Code: Select all

#
#---[ OPEN ]---------------
#
includes/class_calendar_handler.php
#
#---[ FIND ]-------------
#
$event_end_date = empty($event_id['xend']) ? $date_offset : $calendar_api->implode_date($calendar_api->min($xlast, $event_id['xend']));
#
#---[ REPLACE WITH ]-----------
#
$event_end_date = empty($event_id['xend']) ? $date_offset : $calendar_api->implode_date( $event_id['xend']);

I got the two mods to work correctly and then I got a weird bug where all posts would show up as happening every day. This would only happen on the mini calendar at the top of the page, NOT the calendar.php page with the full month view. The fix posted here completely solved the problem! Thank you so much! Definitely add this patch. :)

hey aumanpj
Issue found: here is the fix: http://ptifo.clanmckeen.com/viewtopic.p ... 203&t=6845
or better yet here is the code straight from ptirhiik

Code:
#
#---[ OPEN ]---------------
#
includes/class_calendar_api.php
#
#---[ FIND ]-------------
#
if ( $xdate1['y'] != $xdate2['y'] )
{
return $xdate1['y'] > $xdate2['y'] ? $xdate1 : $xdate2;
}
#
#---[ REPLACE WITH ]-----------
#
if ( $xdate1['y'] != $xdate2['y'] )
{
return $xdate1['y'] > $xdate2['y'];
}

This apply to TC for phpBB aswell TC for CH.

I have a different problem now... tried to search this topic but without luck. Now that the mod is installed all post times have disappeared (not just topics with events--any and all topics). Any idea what that's about?

I have a problem with the displaying of 2008 birthdays in the calendar header. The birthdays are displayed fine in calendar.php, but in the calendar header the fields remain blank.

In the calendar header i have december 31st still visible and the birthday on that date is displayed just fine. Does anyone have an idea why birthdays in 2008 are not showing up, while they were in 2007?

I use TC in combination with Terrafrost birthdaymod on phpbb 2.0.22

So is there a version coming for phpBB3?

Seesaw, can you let me in on the modifications you needed to do to migrate it to phpBB3?
