After much grinding of teeth my forum is now back to where it was albeit some tweaks needed to sort out buttons and what not.

Now the real bugbear...external links not opening in new windows.

I don't care about standards. I do care about usability and as it stands users hate it.

I've seen some advice but they are for different styles.

Can anyone help me out with Sniper blue? What do I have to change to make external links open in a new window and save me from being lynched.

Here's my forum by the way..

Already read through this link and it doesn't help I'm afraid.

First of all, make auto-detected links (those that you didn't wrap with the url-BBCode) open new windows when getting clicked. Therefor open the includes/functions_content.php and look for following line (which should be around line 592):

There is no file called includes/functions_content.php in Sniper Blue

Hence the reason why I'm asking the question

includes/functions_content.php has nothing to do with a style.

Go to your forum's directory and then navigate to that file. It's not part of a style.

Thanks for that but looking at the mod it ponly works for bb code URLs whereas the PHPbb forum allows users to type/paste in the url which becomes a link and which then doesn't work the same way which I think usability wise is even worse now.
