One question. Since i dont want the style to have a logo, i decided to delete it. Now the problem is a retagular empty box is left on where the logo was.

How do i get rid of it?

Thanks
From the sound of it you are trying to delete the entire section where the logo, search box, and description was... if that is the case... find the <div> with class="page_header" and delete everything in the <div> tag... which would be this code...

Code: Select all

<div id="page-header">
		<div class="headerbar">
			<div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span></span></span>
			<a href="{U_INDEX}" title="{L_INDEX}" id="logo">{SITE_LOGO_IMG}</a>
				<br />
			<div id="site-description">

				<h1>{SITENAME}</h1>
				<p>{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</p>
				<p style="display: none;"><a href="#start_here">{L_SKIP}</a></p>
			</div>

		<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_SEARCH and not S_IN_SEARCH -->
			<div id="search-box">
				<form action="{U_SEARCH}" method="post" id="search">
				<fieldset>
					<input name="keywords" id="keywords" type="text" maxlength="128" title="{L_SEARCH_KEYWORDS}" class="inputbox search" value="<!-- IF SEARCH_WORDS-->{SEARCH_WORDS}<!-- ELSE -->{L_SEARCH_MINI}<!-- ENDIF -->" onclick="if(this.value=='{LA_SEARCH_MINI}')this.value='';" onblur="if(this.value=='')this.value='{LA_SEARCH_MINI}';" />
					<input class="button2" value="{L_SEARCH}" type="submit" /><br />
					<a href="{U_SEARCH}" title="{L_SEARCH_ADV_EXPLAIN}">{L_SEARCH_ADV}</a> {S_SEARCH_HIDDEN_FIELDS}
				</fieldset>
				</form>
			</div>
		<!-- ENDIF -->

			<span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
		</div>

There are the new JPEG headers, compressed 75% from your PNG (who are kinda Zipped BMP, so high quality) using Optimized Huffman Codes only:

http://digilander.libero.it/RoyalEagle8 ... er_bg1.jpg

http://digilander.libero.it/RoyalEagle8 ... er_bg4.jpg

http://digilander.libero.it/RoyalEagle8 ... er_bg5.jpg

All of them are just 100 Kb against 780 of PNG. And the Quality difference u need to zoom them to see it. :)

About BackGround, it was already JPG (already compressed) so it's not good thing to compress it again, anyway I tried but I had big lose of quality, it is a big image so I had to put it around 60%, take a look.

If you can compress from original one would be better, this was from 350 kb to 130 kb.

Anyway it's just a Background, and if u make full screen version they won't even see it much. :) Just the color are important.

I have similar question with Kzone but with a different twist.

I prefer to include my logo on the BG therefore no need for the logo seperately. but i want to keep the search bar but not on the original location. I want to put it opposite the Board Index text. beside the text size control.

how can i do that?

secondly, i want to add side bar like here..

Image

the KB only shows how to add top, bottom, and middle.

hope you're not annoyed with my frequent request.

Arael, I will be releasing a lighter version with the upcoming 1.1.0 update. I have also reduced the background by 50kB and added attributes to allow style users to not utilize the background but instead get a gray/blue background.

Ameizez, I have never personally written code to do that, but I can look into it, can't tell you when I can give you an answer, I suggest posting a topic about it relating to proSilver... because any answer you get can be applied to this style.

Spiderman92, I am sure it could be done... it would probably take some Javascript or additional code. I personally am happy with turning on the PM popup in my UCP :)

Again, thanks all, If I haven't responded to your kind words individually I still do very much appreciate them!

andy, make sure you are using version 1.0.2 --- if you upload the new files be sure to refresh the template... that was an issue in version 1.0.0 but has been fixed.

Thanks.

find bg1 and bg2 in colours.css (this will also change the row colors on viewforum)
