Ok well I am so keen on getting this MOD installed that I am gonna do it lol... I will go through now and download/package the files up enough so that people can try it out, at least until Evil releases an official package :D

Will be back soon with a download link, not sure how long this will take ;)

Ok, here is the packaged up version of the MOD I just made, just downloaded the files as per the link Evil provided and then placed them into folders accordingly:

Troll MOD Zip

HOWEVER at this stage I haven't gotten it working successfully, edits were simple, the auto-install didn't work thoughand I had to install the Troll table manually.

Otherwise it appeared to have installed without errors/problems, I set a co-admin to troll via the ACP to test it out however nothing has changed from her POV, the forum still runs normally. Her nick is listed in the current trolls list and also in the database, but nothing.

So yeah :S Either I missed something or it's not quite ready yet lol!

Perhaps Evil<3 can double-check my package above to make sure everything is there how it should be in case I missed something out...

Same problem here, install went good (except for the install dir), also had to create the troll table manually.

I added my testaccount to the troll list but nothing happens, the board runs normally for the testaccount.

This mods certainly needs revision but I'm sure that evil will find a solution ;)

Grtz,

Nic

Would be nice to get a redirection to somewhere else as well.
Used a similiar mod on ipb

Also It would be nice to specify in ACP the % that you want for each setting.
Another nice thing but not really needed is: specific settings for users.
Like If I want to be more mean to some member, I'll would probably set the min load time to about 10 seconds
and probably nicer to some guy that isn't too much of a pain

I'll look forward to this mod, and bookmark it :)
I'm going to try it out now :)

Good luck :)

Same issue... Could be that you set an admin to "troll", maybe? o.0

If it happens to run using an IP number, then it probably will not work from localhost either... seeing as how your IP is originally an admin account, but I was looking and dont think that is the issue really...

Though I would LOVE to see this in action!

I'll be happy to help with testing it once you get a little further along with development. By that, I mean once you start support for your releases.. Will watch this closely. Thanks Evil!

Evil to the core... However, I like it! Thanks for developing so far!

I even have some users in my mind that might get infected with the "troll virus". ;)

If I don't remember wrong, someone mentioned before. The troll mod for phpbb2 was leaving a troll track cookie in troll members' pc. So, if the troll enters board with another account from the same pc, can be treated like a troll again. I wonder if it wil also be utilised by this mod.. ;)
I abandoned all of my mods.
