I finally get the mod through validation, and I've just noticed that there's a typo in the topic/MOD title! The real title (as listed in the MOD file) is "Multi-Race Rank Themes".

Version 1.2 is already on the way and includes changes for the subsilver theme, in case anyone feels left out with this Prosilver only release.

Any feedback or comment on the instructions would be great. Suggestions and comments on new features should probably go in the Dev thread.

Currently there are no permissions, so anyone can select any rank theme. v1.2 will introduce a couple of new features, but it won't be until 1.4 that I add admin setting of rank themes and permissions as to who can change their theme.

Your general idea of having three different themes for three different races is the original idea of the mod, though.

The idea is in the title - you have multiple rank themes, which are most commonly used by RPG forums to represent multiple races. It can also be used for any kind of rank themeing - e.g. letting people have the choice of red, blue, green and yellow versions, depending on what their taste is.

As for a demo forum, it isn't a demo forum but the dev thread has had details of a demo account on my forums since the start. I'll add them to my first post in this topic.

If people want extra features, can you please post in the dev thread as to what features you want, e.g. is it "this group can select rank themes" or "this group can select rank themes A and B but not C" (the latter being much more difficult, I expect, if it is even possible without quite a major overhaul)

Can I bribe you into speeding up the development of 1.4 really this feature its the only thing that prevents me from changing versions from 2.x to 3

dem: I'll see what I can do, although it might take me a while to get it approved. Hopefully v1.2 will be in the queue this weekend. I don't take bribes, but you could always donate to my hosting if you are feeling generous

csp: v1.2 will include a subsilver version, but v1.0 doesn't include very many changes. I wasn't planning on supporting subsilver at all, but despite its terrible coding it seems a reasonable number of people want it and so I started support in v1.1.

People who have special rank themes (e.g. admins) can't choose a theme because the special ranks are part of their own "special" theme. If you don't have a special rank then it is selectable by the using in their profile.

Oh, nevermind the subsilver support, gone with a prosilver base style, although it would be nice for an ability that allows like users to be able to choose rank themes like when they reach 50'th post or something...

EDIT: I can't seem to be able to "enable" this mod, I installed fine (installed like 3 times) on a phpBB3.0.1 forum, which style is prosilver base (SF_Glacier), no errors at all, but there is no button to select the rank theme

MORE EDITS: I can't manage to find any problem with what I did, I installed it and double checked, and everything was done EXACTLY as you said... Which makes me wonder if this works on a phpBB3.0.1 forum...

It works fine with 3.0.1 (at least the only parts of the phpBB patch that failed to apply cleanly on my forum were unrelated to the Multi-Race Rank Themes).

What account are you testing it with? If you are just using the Multi-Race Rank Themes mod and aren't using the Special and Normal Rank Images mod (currently at 0.1b2) then Admins or other people with special ranks won't show a combo box for race selection in their UCP - there's no point, as it wouldn't change their rank anyway.
