phpBB2 > phpBB3 conversion issue

So I was having an issue where I would get a 500 internal server error when converting a phpBB2 MySQL database to phpBB3. After poking around on the forums I followed the instructions at:

Same issue though. Once I get to:

http://127.0.0.1/phpBB3/install/index.php?mode=convert&sub=in_progress&tag=phpbb20&current_table=15&skip_rows=68934&language=en

it dies. I think it has something to do with the private messages table. Any thoughts as to what could be causing this? I can skip this table (enter the URL and set current_table=16 instead of 15) and it imports the rest of the way. It shows a count of private messages, but the messages themselves are not imported.

Your board's URL: localhost (doing it offline)
Version of phpBB3: latest
Was this a fresh install or a(n) update/upgrade/conversion (please be specific)? conversion
Was this an install through your host? negative
MODs you have installed: none
When the problem started: conversion

Additionally, you may wish to provide the following (where applicable)
Template(s) used: default
Language(s) used: english
Version of PHP used: Whatever comes with Easyphp 1.18
Database and version used: MySQL / whatever comes with Easyphp 1.18

Increase or disable the limits on your PHP Memory Limit and Max Execution Time in the php.ini.

I decided to try using XAMPP for the process as it is what I typically use for testing. I upped the memory limit from 32M to 1024M and upped the timeout from 60 to 9999.

I am receiving the following during upgrade:

You may need to adjust the MySQL timeout as well. There are also a few settings in /install/install_convert.php that you can tweak:

var $batch_size = 2000;
// Number of rows to be inserted at once (extended insert) if supported
// For installations having enough memory a value of 60 may be good.

THIS IS IT!!! THIS IS MY PROBLEM AS WELL. ooops, sorry for yelling but I'm ver tired. Has this been resolved? Is there any advise other than uping memory limits....done all that....bought the T-shirt....sang the song....but nothing....it still doesnt work for me and get's stuck at intermittent areas.

I have the same problem! And I did everything! Could someone help me, please?
On my server and on localhost I receive 500 server error. And I don't know why.
