"Creating Communities"

Hi, for our phpBB Shirt, I'm looking for translations of our slogan "Creating Communities" in as many languages as possible. Native translations are preferred over automated tools. So far I have:

en: Creating Communities
pl: Tworzy społeczności
de: Menschen verbinden
hu: Közösségeket teremtünk
fr: Création de Communautés
nl: Brengt mensen samen
hr: Stvaranje zajednica
fi: Luo yhteisöjä
cs: Vytváříme komunity
sv: Skapar gemenskap

I disagree, "Creación" would be used as a noun, not as an actual action and would translate into "creation." "Creando Comunidades" sounds better.

We would prefer to have native translations, over literal ones. That way it flows better in that language and has the desired meaning.

I always found it strange it says "Creating Communities Worldwide" and then "The Netherlands and Belgium".

I think a more logic translation would be "Creëert gemeenschappen". Although that sounds like a slogan from a church. "Creating Communities" would be fine I guess(The Dutch are half English anyways).

I'd like to second (third) that. A part of being a good translator from English to Dutch is to know when not to translate

If there are going to be different versions of the T-shirt for different languages, I would save the cost and just give us the English version

If there is going to be one T-shirt that has many different languages (I personally wouldn't want Dutch left out just because we wouldn't normally translate the slogan), "Mensen samenbrengen" is fine. Alternative: "Gemeenschappen bouwen" ("Building communities").

There will be one t-shirt with all languages. And I don't want literal translations but slogans in the other languages with similar meaning.

I think, if you want to use two words you'd better use "Bouwt Gemeenschappen"(Builds communities). If three words are fine, I'd suggest "Brengt mensen samen". Dutch doesn't really have a word for communities.

How about a Latin translation, of the kind of (preferring the first):

"homines socians" - connecting people or
"communitates creans" - creating communities

if the phrase "creating communities" means something like : "Bring people together" (like in the Dutch translation) , then the correct Arabic translation will be : "نجمع الناس ببعضها" or even better "نزيل الحواجز بين الناس"..
if you need the word to word translation it will be : نصنع المجتمعات ..

The Italian similar and best fitting meaning is IMHO: Creiamo delle Comunità
