I'm trying to integrate the phpBB2 login in my website, which are asp-pages.
I succeeded in calling login.php with the required parameters to be authenticated by phpBB and redirected to my website. Now I'm reading the cookies, to determine if one is already logged in or not, and I noticed that there doesn't always exists a sid-cookie.
If this SID exists, I can look it up in the session-table to find the user_id. But how to proceed when there is no such sid-cookie?
Before you go too far with your development, have you taken into account that the 'end of life' for the v2 software has been announced.
It would probably be better to do this with a v3 forum at this point in time.
phpBB: The All Important Rules - Bertie Bear 3.0 - No support via PM system - use the forums please. phpBB v2: Retirement (1/1/2009) : phpBB v3: Read Me Topic - Custom BBCodes - Support Template

I'm aware of that. I have started a trial conversion to phpBB3.0 a few months ago, but was waiting till all applied MOD's are available for this version.
