Forum ruined?

Post by CarlU » Sat May 31, 2008 1:32 am
Error Message wrote:phpBB : Critical Error

Could not open nmvbmv template config file

Line : 503
File : functions.php
I installed a new template and it comes up with that error. Now I can't even access my administration panel so I can change the template. Is there some way to fix this problem or manually change the default template? Is my forum screwed? Please help thank you

Knowledge Base - Set subSilver as the default template

Make sure that the subSilver folder is in phpbb_root/templates/ and that the folder and the subSilver.cfg file inside that folder have not been renamed in any way (capitalization counts). They should both be 'subSilver', not 'Subsilver' or 'subsilver'.

Remember that CaSe is relevant on web servers?
If the template is in a folder called "nmvbmv", then it looks for a file called "nmvbmv.cfg" inside that folder.
If the file has different capitalisation to the folder, then it won't find it.
