Font size/color, background color, etc

Post by HighFlyer » Wed Jun 25, 2008 10:13 am

On 2.0, it was Styles Admin...Management...simply type in the font size, color codes, etc. Very easy. I can't find the same options in the Admin section of 3.0. Can you please direct me to the option choices in the Admin panel on 3.0 to make the changes?

Thanks so much.

I have both prosilver and subsilver2 loaded.

I want to change the font size and color through the forum. Default font size is ridiculously small and no way will I ask members to put up with it, nor will I put up with it. I used 16 on 2.0.

I change the banner bi-monthly. I choose background colors to match the banner. I.E., Table Row Color 1, Table Row Color 2, and so forth. I simply input the color codes, hit submit, and bam, it was done. I sure hope it's that easy with 3.0.

Thanks for your help.

Update: I think I found it. Unfortunatey, it's in Greek. I need English. lol

I'm using subsilver2.

Example: I have NO clue what wrapnav is:

#wrapnav {
width: 100%;
margin: 0;
background-color: #EFE9DC;
border-width: 1px;
border-style: solid;
border-color: #E7DECB;

Is there a chart somewhere that actually shows me what the codes refer to? I hate to be a big baby about this, my it's not nor ever will be my intent to become a webmaster. The way it is now, it takes all the fun ut of it.

I really appreciate any help anybody can give a tech-dummie like me.

That is refering to a tag in the template that says

Code: Select all

id="wrapnav"

I am a donkey too. I have a version 3.0.0 up and would like to change the font size of the text in a post:

Thank you, but I need to know how to translate all the code in the styles to plain English so I'll know what the codes refer to.

It's a total foreign language for me. As I said, on 2.0 sections of the board were called things like Table Row Color, Table Header Color, etc, etc. It's all in a nice, neat, orderly list instead of code scattered all over the page. There's got to be an easier way to change colors without squinting at tiny green font that only webmasters would understand.

Can anybody help me understand this?

You would need to look in the template for your style and find the classes and ids that correspond to what you want to change, and then look for that in the stylesheet files.
In your example, that stylesheet tag "wrapnav" modifies the template section that is marked id="wrapnav"

Thank you. I'm getting there. Such huge differences between 2.0 and 3.0.
