oh, its a real forum alright...yenerich wrote:But it was a "real" forum or just a way to place links?
Well, for it to benefit phpbb.com you should put the "copyright bla" in the image's alt or title attributes - which defeats the purpose of obfuscating it in the first place. If you don't do that, the search engine won't know what the image depicts and it won't help phpbb.com's ranking.csp4.0 wrote:I've seen many boards remove the copyright... and as a result, I will normally refuse to register with them in anyway and not even mention their board... I, myself never even touch the copyright... I have seen many boards replace the copyright with a picture though. I do think that replacing it with a picture may actually benefit...
The thing is, I don't remove it, but anyway...MartectX wrote: Well, for it to benefit phpbb.com you should put the "copyright bla" in the image's alt or title attributes - which defeats the purpose of obfuscating it in the first place. Yes, it is 'lame'.Jim_UK wrote:What I find particularly annoying (even more so than copyright removal) are the sites that show it as being powered by someone else's work when clearly it is phpBB.
That is the ultimate "kick in the teeth" - taking something that was freely given and then passing it off as your own work.
