What's Area 51 and how come I can never get to it?

I was searching for info on embedding Flickr into my phpbb3 forum, and the search result pointed to:
http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=29168

But it always times out. When I change the link to
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=29168 - it's a totally different topic.

area51 is the development site of the next version of phpBB. Discussions are going on there about phpBB3.2, for example. If it times out, it may be your provider. It is up and running for me. Cancel that, it looks like it is down right now.

Proberly it will remain for a while, since the server administrator is on holiday.

I hope there are problems with the internet, and if they are fixed the server will start automaticly. But actually, I don't think so.

Is there no way to move area51 and code.phpBB.com to the same server as phpBB.com?

If the server is down I don't think you can access it. Let's hope Bart made a back-up and gave it to Dark Inca & Lucas, so they can move it to another, temporarily (wrong spelled?

) server.

Servers are getting online again

although not all are running smooth yet like the one for phpbb.nl has a database error at the moment
