Junction of Forum's

Hello Friends;
I don't know if here it is the perfect place for that post, more he would like to know if he has as uniting two db of the phpbb (junction of two forum's), thank you !!!

If I understand you correctly you want to merge two separate forums into one?

I'm in the process of creating a script that does exactly that. Currently testing it, seems to be working, it even merges the users tables.

When I use this script I get the error message:

Altering dependent table: forum_prune : forum_id (offset = 23)

I have some minor questions about this script:

- I have a member at one board with the name "aaa" and there is a member at the other board also with the name "aaa" - Both people are the SAME person - what will happen?

- I have a catergory at forum1 called "DDD" and the exact same category at forum2 - will all posts in each category be merged?

ok, I cant get this script to work! I emailed bart but hes gonna charge me $180 to do it for me. So Im wondering if someone else can do it?

ok, I got it to work, but I get this error:

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '+ 77 WHERE forum_id > 0' at line 1

UPDATE ultimate_dan.phpbb_forum_prune SET forum_id = forum_id + + 77 WHERE forum_id > 0

Anyway. I changed the script a bit, maybe the problems that are mentioned here are solved now. Haven't tested my modifications though
