I tested this on an empty live board, and sure enough there are problems. It somehow corrupts some of the files in the phpbb3 folder. After using this mod I got an error above the header (think someone already posted that) and then if tried to go back to the board index, I recieved a mysql error, which told me there were errors in a few files...I forgot the exact errors, but I will try to get a copy of the errors. These were files that had never been edited before btw... And when I replaced the corrupted files with backups everything worked again...weird huh?

Iwe used this alot of times. So nice to have this ability.

Tryed it out on a 3.0.0/3.0.1/3.0.2 with no problems. But with 0.0 and 0.1 it deleted some things that are not there in the 3.0.2. Thats okay if your upgrading to 3.0.2 afterwards. But there could be a problem there in future updates.

So if posible it would be amazing with a cleaner for each version since 3.0.0 so you always can clean the board to your current version and update properly. or all in one.

Anyway im deffinently saving the clean for 3.0.2. Nice to have. Thx again.

I love this way of cleaning my site. So i made a update.

This have been tested on fresh installs of 300,301,302,303,304 with no errors.

http://psyhosting.info/Clean_SQL.rar

Also works on updated sites. tryed to do the 300, update it to 301, run the clean no prob. Did that all the way to 304. Same just flawless.

Its not advised to use the file in first post on 3.0.4 it will delete a few things that were not in the 3.0.2 package. Use the updated version i posted instead.

Ah this is exactly what I need.

I have a 3.03 database that is all mucked up with mods. I am in the process of building out a 3.04 from scratch. Please tell me if what I plan to do should work ...

1) Run this mod on the heavily modded 3.04 database.

2) Replace the unmodded 3.04 database with the cleaned 3.03 database.

3) Run install\database_update.php from the original 3.04 install package.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

No as i can understand you have a 3.0.3 database that is not running on a live board. If you have that you need to download the 3.0.3 package and install that database with 3.0.3 files. Run the cleaner and upgrade.

Regarding the 3.0.4 board. Run the cleaner. run db_update afterwards and it should be pretty clean.

If im way off, please let me know exactly what is what.

No, you are spot on ... I explained it poorly.

Yes, what I meant was to run the cleaner on the 3.03 board. Once done, I’d copy the database over to the 3.04 board (or just redirect the config file to point to the cleaned 3.03 database). Then I’d run the db_update from the 3.04 board.

I think we are saying the same thing?

Question though ... should I be using the one you posted?

Or the original download from the first post?

Thanks for the feedback.
