Cant delete a post?!

Post by takadante »

For some reason, my forum rules got duplicated in the announcement section, and I deleted one of them. Now the one I have now states that the requested topic does not exist. I am trying to delete it or figure out where the original post is.

Thanks in advance.

Is can I delete the Value from my SQL to delete the thread? It is annoying because it is my Forum Rules, and users unable to see the rules.

Try using the "Resynchronise" option on that forum in the "Forum Administration" section of the ACP.

This is still an issue on my board. Any ideas on how I can delete the thread? It is just sitting there and I want to repost the rules so the members can see it, but there will be 2 in the announcements and I dont want that.

Can someone give advice?

I see you have an SEO MOD changing all the URLs on your board.
There's a good chance this is what is causing the problem.

Have you tried deleting the topic from inside the moderator control panel?

Look at the index page of the forum containing the post.
Click the "Moderator Control Panel" link up the top.
Check the box adjacent to the message you want to delete.
Select "delete" in the dropdown list bottom right, then click on "Submit".
