Categories messed up :s

Hi guy's, OK Iv only just found out that on a part of my site the members can see different than I can - being admin, now this would be easy to show other than type..

This is what I see...

Now heres a screen shot of acp... Iv typed what I need to do on the image....

Another SS here shows the "ssc funday raised" in biker chat which should be in it's own should be on it's own

You probably haven't set the permissions correctly.

permissions
groups forum permissions
registered users
the forums
standard access

Thanks Kevin, I'd got the wrong premss set Doh!!! so members now have the same view :)

Just need to sort this out now, The board index on the 3rd/4th picture has has a forum that shouldn't be there....( the funday one ) on the index page it shows 0 posts 0 topics but when open you get this page

You've possibly made it a category.

Here's a little guide on the setup

In forum management make a new forum.

Type: category
No parent.

Then make another forum.
Type:forum
Parent: the category you just made.

Cheers mate, so I need to make all the topics i want shown on the main index to a "category"
Then all the forums to "forum" :?

Opps, if im right in saying the above could you tell me where Iv gone wrong here

No, you have that funday bit as a category when (I think) you want it to be a forum.

Just take your time and go through all of the forums and categories and be sure you know which you want to be which and how they relate to each other.

Humm looks like most are messed up, I didn't start this so wasn't sure what went where etc... but looking at this .......

8-) Nice one Kelvin thats done the trick 99% .... thats put most things where they should be 8-)

Just got a few section that arn't showing on the forum but they are in acp... not a big problem as they dont get used much anyway...

Thanks again mate that fix is 8-)
