Alien vs Predator, LOST, Dungeon Master, Colin McRae Rally, Alien Trilogy, Resident Evil 4, Marsport, Courier Crisis, ExtraTerrestrials (Paradox), Twisted Metal World Tour, DOOM, Front Mission 3, Xeroids, Command & Conquer, Lotus Espri Turbo Challenge, Vandal Hearts, Xenomorph, Project Eden, X-COM Terror and ..... well did I miss any????

Personally, I'm more of a simulator-type person. Currently my game of choice is Simcity 4 - a vast improvement over simcity 3 if only for the plugins system. Unfortunately, most games I liked have gone 3d, with more emphasis on flashy graphics than actual gameplay - civilization 4 and rollercoaster tycoon 3 being prime examples

crikey THAT is so true

if it's not 3D, then promoters are just not interested!! the gameplay of the "original games" has been watered down - that is for sure

doesn't seem to be any way out it - shame

Supreme Command is just epic on 8 player LAN <3 and nothing bests UT99 for FPS game play

I haven't tried that yet. C&C generals is fun.. so I can totally see there other generations allot better.
I seriously need to try out some new games..

but right now im addicted to left 4 dead.

Most of my favorite games are from the Super Nintendo days

Earthbound, Final Fantasy III, LoZ: A Link To The Past...
And no one will ever come up with crazy original games like Super Mario again, those are one of a kind

I've had that feeling since around the time N64 came out

Games used to take long to beat and have amazing back-stories, now they spend too most of their time on graphics as you said.

RA1 is still my personal favorite, Generals just didn't give that nostalgic "feeling" of the C&C series.

AS I was reading this I was going to say RCT3 !! ..lol Yeah RCT3 is terrible, very un-realistic and very Sim like..
It reminds me of Sim theme park.

well i thing one of my favorites is the free to download version of return to castle wolfenstein.
the free version is the multiplayer one called RTCW enemy territory.

just a very good multiplayer community, and lots of servers to play on. also it gives some freedom for modifications on servers that makes playing on different servers very nice to do
