This is my favourite change in 0.5.1 as the DIY-instructions were to complex before. I'd be pleased, if someone knew a tool or something to create schemas for other types of database (I only included mysql_40_schema.sql and mysql_41_schema.sql right now)

I have a problem. I install this mod and send test invite and email was not sended. Any idea?

You have to enable "Enable board-wide e-mails:" (General->Client Communication->E-mail settings) and enter an existing "Contact e-mail address" and "Return e-mail address".

If it still doesn't work, there may be problem with your e-mail/webspace provider as the MOD uses the e-mail functions of phpbb (, which work correctly).

ok working good. Else, I think I found a bug. Example:

When we use "Enable registration keys" as "Optional" and user2 register from the link with key sended by user1 and he has an error in register page (example: Your username is too long or other) the register page will be refreshed and show "/ucp.php?mode=register" in adress, not link with key. Then user2 is registered but user1 not have user2 on total registration list because register_key_used in mysql is not update to value "1".

Send invite from Yahoo messenger contacts, google contacts, myspace contacts, etc.

I tried the test on your site, but I never received an email invite. I'm curious to know what that looks like before trying it on my board. Also, I didn't see the part about giving a registration key; I'd love to be able to hand out a piece of paper or postcard (to actual living people) that lets them register with a pre-defined key.

When i clink Invite Link, i got message

You are not autorized to view this area.

When I click register, i will get msg:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ELSE in /includes/ucp/ucp_register.php on line 170

Hi, Can this mod be used to invite contacts by importing from Gmail, Orkut, Facebook etc. ?
If not, can you integrate this with OpenInviter that does just that ?

I did some minor changes and bugfixes today. As you just have to upload the new files and run some sql, I really recommend you to update to 0.5.2:

Just copy the messages located in /includes/invite/messages/
