Subdomain Problem

Post by work »

I can't find the answer through a search, so please don't beat me up.

My forums are located at www.womansgarden.com/phpbb/

I installed them a few weeks ago. Today I noticed that the emails that go to the user have a subdomain listed in them, although the forums don't use a subdomain. I had forums.womansgarden.com forwarding to phpbb, but I don't want the emails that are sent to the user using that subdomain, because they go to an erroneous page.

Where do I find the subdomain configuration in phpbb, so I can get rid of any reference to forums.womansgarden.com and only use www.womansgarden.com?

Thank you in advance!

I just changed the force URL settings... and that really mucked up the forums. When I made a post, it wouldn't redirect me because it said I may go to a potentially harmful URL. /sigh

There is a screenshot :)

I attempted to change "force server URL settings" to "Yes" and it mucked up the forums as mentioned previously, so I changed it back to "No"

Here is the email with the errors that phpbb automatically generates. It should indicate http:// www . womansgarden . com / phpbb / viewtopic.php but it doesn't (spaces added so url doesn't show in this forum)

I fixed it. Thanks for trying to help.

I went to my provider and deleted the subdomain of forums.womansgarden.com... that is all it took. For some reason phpbb knew about the subdomain, I do not know how it knew, but it did.

The emails now direct the user to their specific topic/forum with http:// www . womansgarden . com / phpbb / filename rather than forums.womansgarden.com/filename.
