Hello there ;)

Yeah, I'm gonna hereby start thanking you all for this great system, for the great modifications you're making and for the best support you're offering.

This is a great community indeed, and I'm proud to be a little part of it ;)

Thanks phpBB team and Mod authors!!!

Post by Iron Madman » Sat Aug 05, 2006 5:39 am

Just wanted to come and give a big thanks to the phpBB team as well as all the Mod authors!!!

Decided to start a forum the other night... was going to go with VBulletin, but once I found out the licence was $160, I decided to check out phpBB. The reason I didnt come here first... well, it seems like every other phpBB I visit looks the same, no added features or anything. I figured it was too much of a pain in the ass to work with that nobody bothered to mess with it...

Boy was I wrong!!! This software is nothing short of amazing! In a few days of tinkering, Ive got an awesome board that looks great, has some awesome added features (Thanks again mod people), and is EVERY BIT AS GOOD as VBulletin, if not better IMHO! :D

At first, some of the mod installations seemed a bit confusing, but I got the hang of it after the first one no problem. Now its time to start messing with code to make it even better! Its been a long time since Ive messed with any code though so Im sure Ill mess a few things up!

Thanks again, Im sure Ill be sticking around here!

Also, feel free to check out the new site! Spam removed >Jim_UK is a forum based site for Iron Maiden fans!

Being a total nitwit when it comes to servers, software, php etc... I had no clue... I decided I wanted to have a forum. I started searching for software and knowledge. One hour later it was up and running. Unbelievable.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
