Not recommended at all. The first post says it's for 3.0.3. If you install it on a 3.0.2 board and you break your board you won't get any support/sympathy here :| There's just too many changes between .2 and .3 to give you a straight it will/won't work answer.

It should work fine on 3.0.2, the only changes I made to support 3.0.3 also were made so that 3.0.2 still works. I am pretty sure it will work back to 3.0.0 or even further.

I wonder why they're still on 3.0.2... :?: They'll attempt to install this mod but won't update? :?

How would I go about asking my hosting company to update their php version? It is currently 4.4.9...

And why must we have version 5.x.x. (I can't remember the specifics) to use this mod?

The only reason to require that would be because he's using PHP functions that weren't available pre-PHP5 which is allowed so long as the author mentions this as a requirement (which he does). You can say something about upgrading PHP to your hosting company but it would be pretty hard to convince them as it might/could affect the rest of their customers. But all it takes is a suggestion/question to them and maybe they'll even give you a solution such as moving your site to another of their servers that possibly already supports PHP5.

Thank you DavidIQ..

So I would assume that my chances of using this brilliant mod is around 50-50..

Hmm.. well.. I will just have to hope another version of this mod comes out that doesn't require this.

No hard feelings though.. :) Brilliant mod!

You should demand that your host updates to PHP5 or get a new host. PHP4 is no longer supported at all, and if any security problems are found in PHP4 you are SOL because the PHP Group is not patching nor supporting PHP4.

No version will be made to support PHP4.

X2
Your hosting provider needs to really consider doing the upgrade. Otherwise they're just lazy. I'm surprised any hosting provider is still using PHP4 to tell you the truth... :?

You have files that are missing in the package. language/en/mods/blog/plugins/archive.php is not in the package.
