WOOT! Another mod approved :ugeek:

If you want to make it a required field please make note of the comment in the second edit for ucp_register.php ;-)

I just installed this mod, however the Location field is not a 'required' field for some reason (i.e. I can register a user without filling this in).

In my ucp_register.php file I have the following:

Code: Select all

'location'			=> array('string', false, 2, 255),
as per your instructions. Anything I might have missed?

Thanks

Could it be the method you're using to upload the file? When I switch that to false, as you have it, and try to register I get "The location you entered is too short." and my registration is not completed.

I edited the files in Notepad++ and uploaded them to my FTP server with FileZilla, if that helps?

My forums are v3.0.3 by the way.

Cache purged, theme refreshed, still the same :(

I just went through the steps outlined in the mod again only to discover I didn't amend the line to make it mandatory:

Code: Select all

				'location'			=> array('string', true, 2, 255),
to

Code: Select all

				'location'			=> array('string', false, 2, 255),
Clearly I am going insane. Sorry for wasting your time my friend, and thank you for your help thus far. :)

Thanks David. This is a great MOD.

Would there be much involved in modding this MOD to give registrants a dropdown box containing a list of countries, rather than an empty input box?

(I realize users could choose a country, and then immediately go to the UCP and manually change their country to a non-country.)
Sorry for my English, but I am Australian. Forgive me please.
