First off, great style! Definitely one of the best if you're looking for a less-sterile feel for your forums.

I could have sworn that I saw what the typeface used for the post-its in the footer posted somewhere in this thread, but now I can't find it. Anybody know?

Also, if someone with Photoshop CS3+could save the site_logo.psd in a format that the GIMP can open complete with layers, that would be amazingly awesome.

And finally, does anybody have a fix for the link_home.png in the bottom-right corner so that it lines up where it should (~30px higher)? It's consistent across FF2, FF3, and Chrome, so I'm fairly sure it's a stylesheet issue, though I'm clueless beyond that.

Cheers!

Need help adjusting header

Post by kham619 »

In Mozilla, my banner is what I changed it to.

In IE, it is back to default. How can I fix this?

you also need to change the site_logo.gif in the themes/images/IE6 folder

I am looking to change some of the links in the footer but i am having trouble finding where the links are defined, and images inserted.

Looking to add another sticky note to the footer, the website I am running has two logo's. Both of which I would love to feature in the footer. (Placing both on the left stickies and adding another sticky to the right to move the phpBB info to)

If someone could point me in the right direction I would be greatly appreciative.

Sorry that is the file I had changed too, but no effect. It turns out I I had forgot to purge the cache in phpBB and I had done the new coding correctly.

Dirtboard 2.0 - 'your small logo here' removal

Post by Crimson_Wake »

I've replaced the logo that goes down there with my own, but I want to remove the explanatory text. I've got all the css and php files, but my eyes are crossing trying to find that portion of code.

Can someone direct me to where I can remove that from the page?

I've modified the main banner, small logo, made all my categories and forums, and started getting things put together nicely, but I'm stuck on this one little piece.

Much appreciated!

Thanks!

I'll make the last changes later this morning, and then I should be good to go. I can't post a link to it because the forum is behind a paid-portal. Unless you want to pay for membership, you don't want to follow the link. However, maybe sometime in the near future you DO want to be a member of the community. Just head on over to the site and join up.

It's not porn. It's also not a religious site.

I'll share more details just after we launch the first week of June.

OK, I tried that, and it didn't work.

I went into styles/dirtyboard2.0/templates - changed overall_footer.html to eliminate the "your small logo here" by just removing the text from the quotes. That didn't work, so I simply <!-- line --> the whole thing. Also didn't work.

I went into all the other footer-esque files and tried to find somethi similar, but I cannot. I think it's got to be some kind of image, because the bottom portion says "(or anything you want)" and it's not a text I can find in the footer html files.

The copyright is fine with me - I'm going to keep it on the site - I just don't want instructional text on it. It makes it look like I haven't finished building - just unprofessional.

Any ideas?

I've refreshed the theme, and the ftp side to make sure everything loaded new.

Thanks,

Blake
