Yeah, I got it. I just installed everything and I'm doing a test registration but it doesn't seem to be working. The verification image should be on the first page of the registration process correct? It's still showing the old one.

Craig.

umm, right click which file?

Where do I unzip this to?

Once I unzip it do I just navigate to it and run the install?

I miss the days of having a mod where it told you what file to open and you pasted or replaced the code and you were done. :(

Just curious, how does changing the background image prevent the bot from OCR?

Enable the GD Captcha in your ACP under General -> Visual confirmation settings.

This mod requires GD library.
Please enable GD CAPTCHA in ACP->GENERAL->Visual confirmation settings.

Before OCR convert captcha image to characters, it must clean the noises and back ground from the image.
Default captcha back ground is made with a single color, it is regular and can be identified by color.
Now we change the background with a radom picture, it is irregular. So the OCR program can not check out the characters from the back ground.

fasko, manually take each image and place them in the correct folder. I tried to take them all at once and move them and it did not work. But once I took each image 1 by 1 and placed them in the folder it worked correctly.

Am I the only one finding this thread difficult to follow with respect to installation instructions? Where ARE the installation instructions for this mod? I uploaded the pics from the zip file into my includes/captcha folder and made sure that GD CAPTCHA is set to "Yes." Now what?

What do I do with or where to I place the install.xml and modx.prosilver.en.xsl files?

Here are my settings:

You have deleted files in the folders or removed them ?
Just unzip the file and open the install.xml in the position where it is....
(local on your harddrive ;))
