Old language packs

Post by Lord Phobos »

Hi

I'm upgrading (trying: I have 30+ mods, it will be a nightmare) my board from 3.0.2 to 3.0.4.
I'll want to use auto updater, but I know it is much better to first pass from 3.0.3, THEN redo the process to 3.0.4.
Last time, I did straight from 3.0.2 to 3.0.4 and was a complete catastrophical mess.

But, my board is italian, so I'll need the italian lang packs for the update for 3.0.3... I cannot find them, looked anywhere, maybe removed from site.

There's a link somewhere?
Thanks.

You can find all the available language packs on the Languages page, the Italian language pack is listed there as well.

Just download the latest version of the language pack, because your final update will be going to 3.0.4.

Lord Phobos, follow the steps said by JimA, who gave a good explanation about the theme.
I'll just comment about your update. You can really update your phpBB from 3.0.2 to 3.0.4 version directly, sure.
In order to do that, upload phpBB 3.0.4 files to your webserver and to your phpBB directory, excepting the directories /images, /files and your file /config.php, wich contains the necessary information to connect your files within your database. Later, run the /forum_directory/install/update_to_latest.php file, and update your database to the newest version. The files are already updated by your previous upload, sure.

For security, ever when you make a process like that, conversion, updated, mod installation, make a backup for your files e database, even because you have more than 30 MODs installed in your board, and usually in a board so modified the Automatic Update Package get many conflicts. So, be carefull when updating by the automatic updater, or by this conventional way mentioned above.

I hope i've helped you.
Regards.

Already upgraded, all worked fine, thanks! :D

It was long and boring, but worked, followed two steps: to 3.0.3, THEN to 3.0.4.

Only weird thing: now, after posting, the page returns to the start of the topic, not to the last. :O

Can't understand why...
