The language pack changes are primarily for language pack maintainers. They look at the differences in the English package and make the same ones in their's. In the process, they translate the new strings.

The best I could do is to compare the two version of the Spanish translation, producing this diff:

In my case, I have many Mod's installed.

the steps to upgrade are:

1-pack to raise the host codechanges
2-run the automatic update system
3-edit the files in my thema

or simply edit the file and replace the current ones?

You should download the Automatic Update Package and let it guide you through the update process, it can merge modifications with new code from the upgrades.

Yes I have the same problem. I have updated my forum from 3.0.4 to 3.0.5 but I miss the updated files for the Spanish language.
I have done changes to these files, so I don't know to install the entire Spanish language pack.

Can I use this es.diff file above?
EDIT: I cannot open it/execute it.

This kind of problem will happen every time there is an update. Language pack maintainers should provide an update for their language pack.

The file I attached is an ordinary plaintext file, you should be able to open it in any text editor, like Notepad++ or PSPad on Windows or gedit or kate on UNIX.
