AutoMOD install 1.0.1 on 3.0.7-PL1 just fine. Using AutoMOD is recommended.
Also, don't forget to run database update script after file edits. See DIY section in install.xml
I abandoned all of my mods.

Sorry, but it doesn't work for me. AutoMOD installation was successful, I also purged the cache, but there's no option for it in "edit forum". Do you know what's wrong?

Make sure you looked at
Administration Control Panel -> FORUMS -> Forum administration -> Edit forum to see the new option.
I abandoned all of my mods.

After I fixed the file owner and rights everything is working. But I don't know why AutoMOD said, that the installation was successful?!
