Problems with the Spanish Language Pack Instalaltion

Hello,

So far I am not being able to work the Spanish Language Pack, it doesn't matter how many times I try or what set of actions I follow.

Here is what I did the latest time:

I installed 3.0.5. phpBB using Installatron without any problems.


In order to install the Spanish Language package I did the following.

1.From www.phpbb.com/downloads I downloaded the following 3 items of the Spanish Language Package for phpBB 3.0.x (Olympus):

language: lang_es.zip
subsilver2: subsilver_es.zip
prosilver 2: prosilver_es.zip

As per 3 phpBB Olympus documentation:

First, I unzipped the downloaded language file and uploaded the contents to the language/ directory. So I had: phpbb/language/en and also phpbb/language/es

Second I installed the Spanish language pack from the phpBB Administrator Control Panel -> System -> language Packs -> selected the list Spanish language pack -> Install

Third, to make the Spanish language pack the default language of the board I went to the phpBB Administrator Control Panel -> General -> Board Settings -> Default Language -> Spanish -> Submit

I got into the forum to see if I could see any changes, but everything in the my board was in English.


So I guess I had to up the imageset for Spanish into the default styles.

First, I unzipped prosilver_es.zip and subsilver2_es.zip into my PC and then uploaded the corresponding images/es into:

/styles/subsilver2/imageset/es/ and /styles/prosilver/imageset/es


Then, I checked that the default language was Spanish.

From ACP -> Style Management -> Styles I noticed that the default style was prosilver and subsilver2 was not installed.

So I installed the subsilver2 style and made it active although not the default.


From ACP -> Style Components -> Imagesets, I installed the subsilver2 imageset



After doing all this all in my board is in English!

So, what am I doing wrong?

Have you changed the language in your profile? User Control Panel -> Board preferences

If by that you mean the following:

Navarro! How did you install the ES language package? I did everything that you did too... but it is still all in english. I don't know what to do.

As I said before, go to the User Control Panel and click the Board preferences tab. Make sure Spanish is your selected language.

Thanks, man! I didn't know the UCP (I thought UCP and ACP were the same). I used the phpBB some years ago... but now, I am a newbie!
