Just one quick point (having done the same thing myself before this was released :) ). If you have applied any of the intermediate updates to 2.0.6 you will likely find that there are some FIND instructions which you can't carry out as the code has already been altered.

Where do we get the update_to_207.php file? Must we download the intire install file to get it?

I found the file... but...

Post by wmtoo » Tue Mar 16, 2004 6:30 pm

When I try to run it, it tells me extension.inc is not found along with other errors...

Any advice?

Is there any possibility of a EMC version. I'm just too lazy to update the old fashioned way. Hope you guys can make one, pleez.

You forgot the installer. If you want to update manually I believe the only change to the database it the version number. It's located in the phpBB_config table.

Later,

That file is in any of the downloads, so you can get any one of them to use it or since there are no DB changes in this version you can change the version number in the database if you want to.

This should work in EasyMOD from what I've seen as long as you are running 2.0.6 (the original release). If you applied any of the intermediate updates then you may hav problems since some of the changes will already have taken place.

this will work with the easymod, even if you apply patch previously from phpbb. all i did is copy the command that cannot be proccess and paste it in another text file and do it manually or check to see if it apply or not.. or not.. but everything work out great :)

thanks for the mod.

the delete command is not within easy mod.. you'll have to delete it manually ;)

and there are something you suppose to edit in the index_body.tpl that is not important i don't think .. so i didn't do it.
