Check with the author(s) of the portal. If the characters are displaying correctly on the forums and the portal is pulling the characters from the forum and not displaying them correctly, it has to be a problem with a display function in the portal.

Shamiro, maybe the encoding of the portal language files isn't correct. Check if your portal language files are saved within the correct encoding, that would be UTF-8 (without BOM).

Code: Select all

<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
It's UTF-8. I gues it's correct, or not? :? And what suppose to meen "BOM" like .txt or something? I'm using Adobe DreamWeaver so there isn't such an alternative...

I recommend you to use a PHP editor named Notepad++ to edit your portal language files, converting the encoding of them to UTF-8 (without BOM). It's simple. Just open the files within your editor and later click the option to format the file on the top of the screen..
