phpBB Live

Post by Alex Riddle » Sun Apr 04, 2004 7:13 pm

How about making phpBB in real time so wheneve someone makes a new post you can see that they did on the index page without refreshing and if your reading a topic it automaticly adds it at the end without refreshing. This would kind of be like a mix of a message board and chat room.

I mean whenever someone makes a new post it will automaticly show up without having to refresh, so everything is in real time.

yeah if someone could make this that would be awesome. Even if it a a seperate page, becuause on my fourms, there is alot of members that want to reply to every topic and this would be awesome, maybe check every x seconds for a new reply. and then display it.

just put an autorefresh in the meta tag.

otherwise, you are talking about using AJAX.
