Forum remembers user for an hour...

Post by bmack »

May be someone knows, how to fix this problem. If I return to my board within an hour, it remembers me, and I can do it all day long. But if I haven't been there for an hour or so, it forgets user even if "autologin" is enabled. I double checked my cookie settings and settings in acp. Everything's ok. May be there is an option to edit session.php file or any other to encrease session time for user? Can I do that with changes of this code from session.php?

Code: Select all

				// Check the session length timeframe if autologin is not enabled.
						// Else check the autologin length... and also removing those having autologin enabled but no longer allowed board-wide.
						if (!$this->data['session_autologin'])
						{
							if ($this->data['session_time'] < $this->time_now - ($config['session_length'] + 60))
							{
								$session_expired = true;
							}
						}
						else if (!$config['allow_autologin'] || ($config['max_autologin_time'] && $this->data['session_time'] < $this->time_now - (86400 * (int) $config['max_autologin_time']) + 60))
						{
							$session_expired = true;
						}
Thanks for any help!

If it were a problem with the code, it would be happening to everyone.

Either you have persistant logins disabled on the Security Settings page, or your Cookie Settings are wrong, or you changed IP addresses and your Session IP validation is too tight.

By "everyone", I meant all of the phpBB board owners.

IP session validation is on that same Security Settings page.

I have no IP validation at all. Thank you for responding so soon. I think this error happens with installing one the mods. The last question, which files besides session.php are involved in remembering user? So I could check them all for changes with the files from original pack with board. I hope that will work.
