lol..i dont see why people havent done this MOD. i think its annoying to not have a double space when u want one. it also make long posts easier to read with sentence breaks.

thanks....even if u dont have it installed on your own board..lol

I'll wait for the later version with ACP control, if I read correctly.

It seems there is a bug in this mod.

If the post be re-edited, some space will be displayed as '  '. It is OK when in edit page.

I think following modification maybe help:

--------------------------
Open posting.php

find:

$message = str_replace('<', '<', $message);
$message = str_replace('>', '>', $message);
$message = str_replace('<br />', "\n", $message);

AFTER ADD:
// MOD allow multiple spaces BEGIN
$message = str_replace(' &nbsp;', " ", $message);
// MOD allow multiple spaces END

----------------------------------------------
How about HTML code is on?

Thanks, a lot. I missed this since my first post to a phpbb forum.

I just installed "Pre BBCode v 1.0.1" and afterwards "Allow multiple spaces in posts v 1.0.0" and noticed, that formating the text was destroyed inside the [pre] [/pre] tag.
Obviosly these two mods aren´t compatible :cry:

hello,

I just found this mod and tried it on my phpBB 2.0.15 but hasn't made any difference;
&nbsp; is still resolved as code.

Specifically, I haven't yet done the 'editing' fix suggested half way through this thread. Do I need to or is the download fixed to include it?

Is there a version of this mod which works on the latest phpBB version?

thanks a lot.

BUMP

I'm having the exact same problem. Running 2.0.18 this MOD is not working. Anyone else have any suggestions please?

It works fine on my 2.0.19 board. The only problem is that if you edit a message, it reverts all double spaces to single spaces (and if you originally put in a triple space, it converts it to a double space.) I do have the editing fix applied.
