just out of curiosity, does anyone else find this topic's disappearance a somewhat scary sort of motivation?
Every time I log in, I view this topic with fingers crossed that no one has taken the position, lol. . .

Well there's not really a single position for this. We are constantly looking for good contributors that want to help with MOD Validation. ;-)

Why this is fantastic news!
lol, still probably going to hurry (I'm near BETA, but I don't really know what to do in BETA, so I might just skip to RC.)

Boink!

Application is still available for those that wish to contribute back to the phpBB MODding community and perhaps eventually make it onto the MOD Team. This is how a lot of us currently on the MOD Team actually made it onto the team. Check the application link and see if you'd like to apply. 8-)

Will someone get rejected if they don't have "You have submitted MODs to the MOD Database." but they got everything else?
Please note that I will not be porting any of my mods to phpBB 3.1. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

That will be decided on a case by case basis. If someone with only one MOD in alpha stage, very few posts in general, and maybe even bad code quality applies he/she might not be accepted. However, if one has shown to be worthy of the Jr validators he/she will most definitely be considered for the team. Even if he/she doesn't have a MOD validated yet.

Are there any words on how long it takes until you find out if you make it as a jr mod validator?

We usually try to process applications as fast as possible. However, events like christmas or other holidays might stretch that time a little bit.
