OK, got it installed and working at last, love it already, now I need to add it to my Arcade and User Blogs, What do I need to do?

Arcade will recognise it automatically. For the User Blog Mod you will find a plugin in the contrib folder.

Hi,

I have been looking at this mod with a view to installing it on my site and would appreciate your comments and suggestions on what the points could be used for. I currently have the following mods installed:

Board3 Portal v1.0.5
phpBB Gallery v1.0.4
phpBB Arcade v1.0.RC9

From reading the thread, would I be correct in assuming that I can restrict access to the Gallery and Arcade, based on the amount of points accumulated?

Yep. The UPS works in this combination (have it too on my main site). And yes, you can restrict the viewing of the gallery.

When i try to install ultimate points 1.0.7, it comes up with this error:

im using the latest version of phpBB

Did you run the install file? It looks like the database is not setup which is done in the installer, either that or the edit in /includes/constants.php did not get entered. One of those two is most likely the problem.

i double checked the includes/constants.php and the edited code is implemented in there, the database seems to be set up for it

Am using NV version, latest.

Also I've enabled everything in acp > mods > point settings

Awesome mod, not too much trouble installing and working superb. Well done. Couple of questions though.

a). Is it possible to utilise existing post count?
b). Is it possible to give points for each field in their profile filled in by new registrants?

Are you referring to the phpBB Gallery mod? If so, be sure to use the /root/gallery/includes/hookup_gallery.php file from the contrib folder of UP (not phpbb Gallery).

Another query. Can the robbery notifications be changed somehow to only PM When a robbery against you was successful? Seeing 20 odd attempts as 20 PM's is a bit too intrusive.

I think an option (in a future release) in the UCP to select which they want to receive would be cool... With both option enabled by default (I like the current configurations).

* PM Me When Someone Robs Me
* PM Me When Someone Attempts to Rob Me

I installed this today with no problems, but not seeing anything in the navbar, nor UCP. I used UMIL and set the permissions right. I enabled it in the ACP. What file (edit) may UMIL missed?

heya femu, i had Advanced Points System v0.8.0-b installed, i removed all the editsings, but i dont want to loose the existing points ( i dont use lottery, robbery, etc, only points), can i keep those and still install this mod?, can you help regarding it?

Were the edits made to the style that you're using (if you're not using prosilver)?

Also, be sure to clear your cache and refresh your templates via the ACP after you upload your edited files.

If I remember correctly the instructions are in the contrib folder of the download.
