i see that late..

so click sometimes f5 in browser, so the error will evtl. move..

otherwise bcs. i see u have many many many forum ids in config,
remove some of them in config and than enter them bitwise back to config..

the mod works not backward, so it transform only a pic, that is now posted

give me a testuser, so i can check

understand, that this mod not transform backward, so it doesn't mater how many pics there are..

so (theoretical) it can not give a hang..

or add the forum-id's bitwise, slowly...
first only one. than enter the next forum-id etc etc

I use this mod on a quiet graghically heavy forum and it works sweet.. I cannot vouch for ppl with high screen resolutions (which would mean more pics per 'bar') if maybe that causes the problem but on a site with 500+ visitors a day it works really well for us...

the site with it in-use is VirtualCustoms.net if you need proof (The index has the scrolling piccy mod and the themes/wallpaper threads benefit from the thumbnails mod)

Just a thought.. are you running your server locally or are you renting space at the time of testing? My test site is ran locally using Xampp which seems to bug-out on certain requests, but upon loading it from the 'real' online site, it copes with ease.. if it's hosted on 'real' webspace then there shouldn't be any probs really unless something is wrong on the server-side of things IMO but I'd wait and see what others say on my comments before acting upon them.

Hope you manage to sort it, this mod is great and the community I'm involved with love it so far

thanks for reporting your experience with this mod,
but what u installed is Last X [attachment] on Forum
so it is a bit other situation. bcs. of this it will be interesting, if u can test this mod..

on all my test-boards it works, also on live-boards. so i am interested in any feedback from other boards.

I have installed the mod and cleared all cache but the my site is not loading now..

Only when i include the last_x_img_on_forum.php file in either index.php or viewforum.php, the page is not loading. The problem is with the settings..

If i place correct forum IDs the pages does not load but if i leave the default settings, the pages load but the img frame does not show up.

My forums contains many images, there is a minimum of 10 000 posts in each forum and all contains images. Thats why the page is not loading.

What needs to be done is to set a limit of how many images to show. And this limit must be set in the sql query when querying the database. For example query only the top 5 recent images.

In addition, i don;t want all images from a post to be shown. FOr example there are the following images in a post:

.Cover of a movie.
.Screenshots of movie.
.NFO image.

So, i want only the cover of the image to be shown not all of the images. Or there is the following image in a post



I don't want these images in the img frame. If a panel could be coded so as the admin of the site can choose which image to display according to new posts, it would be better.

OR if you could add a simple and more manual tool where admin can put the image link and the topic link. This is for big sites where the frame shows only the best posts images not all of them..

this is not a bug, you dont have give chmod 777 to the folder images/last_x_img via your ftp-program

the sql limit is allready in both main-files. it limits the output to a number of thumbs, that u set in "$max_img_to_show" or automatically via javascript (eg (screen-resolution 1024x768 and $convert_mx_size ~ 100) = 9 thumbs) and it doesn't matter, how many forum-ids u add in "$forum_idz_to_show": it will be in all cases only affects 9 thumbs. the only thing that can give a overkill, is when u enter eg 50-100 forum-ids (depending on the power of your server). but (for me) that is nether practical or sane. i show pics only from special and best forums (5 or 6 forum_ids). not every fuc.... pic in the forum should show in index. that was never the intention of this mod.

you can only have such a thing if i program a special-version just for u, so the only way for u is: put all pics u dont want to show up in an extra bbcode eg. [img_2]. than only the given pics show up. this mod is dynamic and force no action from the admin, an the name is "last x img on forum", not "manual chosen image display".

OR if you could add a simple and more manual tool where admin can put the image link and the topic link. This is for big sites where the frame shows only the best posts images not all of them..

as i say one above: i don't program this kind of mod. for me it works perfect this way.

Is futile. I tried to install it again (new version), I set last_x_img component 777, I tried to let her 755th Still, it did not help. I do not know. Thanks for your help

have u really give chmod 777 to folder images/last_x_img with this settings in eg. filezilla:

Rightclick on folder images/last_x_img > Recurse into subdirectories > Apply to all files and directories



if yes read further: if the mod is right installed and u exactly follows the instruction and u have no "problem-board" with server-restrictions or chmod-problems or server-side chmod-restrictions this error never appears. i must have ftp-access and a testuser. otherwise i can't help u
