Ultimate Points

Post by gylippus »

I thought someone here could help me with a problem I am having with an install of ultimate points since it goes hand in hand with this mod. I downloaded a new version of phpbb3 and edited the files to install the ultimate points and the shop mod. I uploaded all of the files and then installed the forum. All went well until the end of the install. Now, when I access my forum via the browser I get this:

SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Table 'phpforum.phpbb_points_config' doesn't exist [1146]

No problem, I figure I need to install the points mod but when I access the install script via the browser I get the above error. So, how can I run the ultimate points install script when it won't work via the browser? I looked at the .php file and it didn't look straightforward enough to just copy and paste into the query of the sql database to create the tables. Please tell me I don't have to delete everything and install everything one at a time.

When you install the forum you do so using the install file for phpbb. To install the the Ultimate Points and Shop Mod you will use two totally different install folders. The better idea would have been to install the forum, then install the mods afterwards.

You are right but I did fix the problem. I had to manually copy the sql from the install folders and paste it into my sql database at the server and THEN go to intall folder. It all worked though. Thanks.

Did it also install the Modules in the ACP?

If you are new to this stuff then you might not know about Automod. I apologize if you are not new.

Also, again presuming you are new, consider creating a second version of your site using a separate database. If you do your playing there it doesn't matter if you break the site because your users are unaffected. Once you have tried out a new modification and find that it works "as advertised" and is what you want on your site, it is easy to upgrade your "real" site.

Personally I wouldn't try to premod phpbb, I am still a child when it comes to this stuff although I am learning every day; often becoming badly bruised in the process.

I would like to make a small modification.
The purchased items are displayed in the messages of giving users to see user objects.
By default objects are displayed next to each other.
Could we change this to display one above the other like a list?

I leave a picture for you to understand what I ask.
And forgive my English.

Thank you so much!

If I'm understanding you correctly, just open up the template and add <br /> after the item variable. I'm sure someone else can post the exact code.

Could you specify what code or file path should I make that change?

Thank you very much
