Moderators

Post by Sweet_Amstaff_Sarah »

Hi

I assigned 2 moderators to handle the forum, but the first one may only deal with 6 subfora and the other may only deal with the other things. So I managed to get them only in the list of moderators for the things they might do but when I test their permissions, I see that they could both do everything. Is this right or what happened?

Use the moderator permissions mask to check this.

When I check the permission mask, the moderators are only assigned to the forum they may handle but when I check out the forum permissions, the mods can change also things like deleting and merging topics in a part I didn't assign them to. But in the permission marks, they are not shown in the parts they may not handle.

Did you view both the forum moderation mask and the global moderation mask?

Global Moderation Mask is set all to yes but there is no one in the global moderation group. I made a seperate group for the 2 different mods, because the first one may approve posts and the second may not.

create a couple of new users (just logout and register) and put one in each of the two groups and then log in as them and see what happens.
