Welcome to the phpBB community, Niki!

Yes, it is supported. All you need to do is use phpMyAdmin and create a database, say call it forum then you would fill in the following

DNS:: localhost
Database Name:: forum
Database Username:: root
Database Password:: blank

Hope this helps,
Christian :wink:

Try launching the command prompt ( cmd.exe on XP ), and then typing C:\mysql\bin\mysql.exe. Of course, in easyPHP, mysql may not be installed in C:\mysql, but you get the point :)

here the first easy steps

1.) Install EASYPHP
2.) Run EASYPHP
3.) Right CLick on the icon "E" choose [Configuration] -> [phpmyadmin]
4.) create a new database name it what ever do you want [remember the name of your database]
5.) install phpbb2 and extract them to your "www" folder on easyphp
6.) go to your browser and type http://localhost/phpbb2/
7.) follow this

YOUR APACHE AND SQL MUST BE RUNNING SO U WONT GET ANY ERROR
if ur not sure their running click on the "E" icon and u will see the color there on MYSQL and APACHE [RED: OFFLINE] [GREEN: ONLINE]

Default board langage [english]
Dtabase Type: [MySQL 4.x]
Choose your installation method [Install]
Database Server Hostname / DSN: [localhost]
Your Database Name: [the name of database you created on step 4]
Database Username: [root]
Database Password:
Prefix for tables in database: [phpbb_]
Admin Email Address: [your e-mail address]
Domain Name: [your ip] from www.whatismyip.com or [localhost]
Server Port: [80]
Script Path: [/]
Administrator Username: [username what u want]
Administrator Password: [password what u want]
Administrator Password {confirm}: [put the same password as the above]

There ^_^

and if it say the database coudn't be found probably ur SQL isnt running only the APACHE "to run ur SQL, double click on "E" icon and click on MySQL then hit start" wait till it turn to green.

oh yah when people register on my forum =.= they always get this
