Yes. The forum ID changes, hence the URLs change.

Hi I hope you can help me with my little problem.
The mod I have installed and whether it has helped me, when you press the button "Like" is published the link in my Facebook wall but also the link also posted a picture next to it, whether that of a range or avatar that has any user who has responded on the issue.

it works for me to except i do have your same problem. it takes random images from the post being liked. is there anyway to fix this? any help is appreciated.

In Facebook is an random image from the Site.
How I Can deleted this function ?

Thanks for this great mod. It is one of the best mod I've had on the board till date. I have a few queries:

1. Is it possible to have the Like button auto-select a picture from the topic that is not smilies, avatars or other icons? Basically, select something from the body of the any of the posts instead of everything else? I have tried adding the og:image code you suggested but it takes away the option to select a thumbnail while posting a Link directly from Facebook; and permanently displays the one image for all non-phpbb users as well.

2. I am not able to view the button on IE. I've tried moving the code below the overall_header tags and tried everything else suggested in the past pages but in vain. Sometimes it appears randomly and doesn't appear on the next refresh. This has happened only twice in 4 days. Click here for forum.

Is there anything you can suggest?

In one word, no. You either have the option to select a universal image for every thread of the forum, or else you need to manually select an image you need to display. It's how this Facebook social plugin was designed. There's no provision to exclude some images from being selected.

OK. This is a major downer from Facebook's side as most of the times, the liked topic title and thumbnail image that appears on Facebook does not represent the actual content of the post. I hope Facebook does something about this soon.

If anyone has an issue with the content jumping during the loading of the page or with the large space under the button, let me know. I have a pretty quick and easy fix and don't mind posting it if someone needs it.

When i press the 'Like' button in xFBML i'm not able to unlike anymore when the page accessed again.
Is this correct? Is this a setting?

It isn't correct. You can try the demo to see which behaviour is correct and which isn't.

Hi guys,

I am trying to install this mod in my phpbb v3.0.9 and I cant get my head around it..Can someone plz help me with these:

1) in the install.xml, in the end it says "Remember to fill in the Connect URL and Base Domain under Connect tab for your app.". I cant find where this is in facebook application and also what do I need to fill here! It doesnt make sense to me...can someone guide me?

2) Also, it says that "the xFBML version, which requires more edits, but gives the option to post a link to wall when a URL is liked.". My question is, does it place a link in my wall or the user's wall??

3) I gave up trying to figure out the settings for the xFBML version so i uninstalled it and installed the iframe version that doesnt require much edits. But this is still showing "Error" when you click on like. When you click on the error, I get this msg:
"There was an error liking the page. If you are the page owner, please try running your page through the linter on the Facebook devsite (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/lint/) and fixing any errors."

4) Also, whats the point of iframe version? It just shows how many people liked it (or) if a user likes it, they will automatically have a link to that page in their wall or something??

You need to create a Facebook application for your website.

It places a link on the wall of the user who clicked on like.

The mod won't work unless you create an app and use it's ID in the edits.

Both the xFBML and the iFrame version does what you said above. The xFBML version additionally asks yu whether you want to share it on Facebook with a comment.

I have reinstalled this xFBML version of this MOD and was trying to re-set up the facebook application. During this course, I started receiving this annoying msg from facebook and I have contacted their help centre and I need to wait for a week to get a response!!

You can no longer create apps because our systems indicated that your account may not be authentic. Facebook requires users to provide their real first and last names, and fake accounts are a violation of our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (SRR 4.1), even when used to host or test apps. Its so annoying and after searching the facebook forum, I see that a lot of ligit users are having the same issue...I have never been a fan of facebook but I am trying to install this MOD since there are a lot of people using stupid facebook...
