Hello guys

I just installed phprivals on my forum, and i0m expecting exactely the same error like ctkabel.

I already tried to give CHMOD 777 to ../images/rivals folder as well as CHMOD 755

It won't upload any of the pictures....their size is ok, as well as the dimensions! I also took a picture from your site, which is already added, but the same thing!

I can just add one more info....there is an difference if you try to upload the picture with folder CHMOD to 755 or 777:

In example for creating a clan, with image/rivals folder + subfolders CHMOD to 777 it shows the following error:

The seize of the picture could not be determined.
The image you have uploaded is the wrong dimension. Please use an image between 100x100px and 500x500px.

if image/rivals + subfolders folder is CHMOD to 755 it gives the following error:

Unknow error with uploading.

than tried to give ../image/rivals CHMOD 755 and subfolders CHMOD 777 with following error:

I suppose there must be a problem in the code....before i had the old rivals mod installed (not yours) and all worked fine!

I checked to disable all dimension limits on my forum restrictions.....but always the same...unpossible to upload a picture!

it's a problem that i can't reproduce.

It's a problem in the code but for me and some others works...

So i think that it can be a problem for some configuration only.

So can you tell me what you have, if you can, in this row in phpbb_config checking it with phpmyadmin?

I have tabbed profiles MOD installed and this mod seems to just destroy the profile pages. Can't seem to work out why.

It's not the template file that's the problem, because I could have just re-arrange the html to make it work, but it didn't work.

I even tried removing all edits from your mod in the memberlist_view.html file, but it was still broken. I look over the code and couldn't find where the problem was so I just removed it completely to make sure this mod was the problem, and everything went back to normal.

and tell me if it was in all pages or in only some.

Still no help for my problem? I really want that mod have to work.
Is there a possible issue with portals used over phpbb installations? I have seen that ctkabel uses also a portal mod on his site, as well as me.....it is 2 different portal mods, but....maybe there could be a reason?

basically my mod can work with all other mods... portal too.

for the image problem i need find a way to reproduce it... i'm trying.

I can't even find out, why this problem happens....i already tried to make a fresh new install on another location on my server....same problem....all other (image upload) mods just work fine!

What can i do, for helping you? What if i give you full access to a hosting package, so you just can reproduce the error.... Just try to install phpbb3 followed by portalxl and your mod.

Ok...i just got once more arround....maybe this will help a little more:

I tried ...just for fun....to CHMOD de directorys to 644 and tadaaa..... it did'nt show any of the errors...but as you already know...the picture was not uploaded....but why the hell doesn't it show an error message when it should? And why is it showing one when it shouldn't? ....crazy......


I just hope you soon find a solution for the problem

Next hint.... i manually uploaded my pics, and i manually inserted them into Database....that works. The pictures are shown.....just the upload function want work at all....neither with clan or ladder or okatform or what else.

HELP PLS.....

yeah it's like the system parse a wrong upload url or move from temp directory to final one.
try to do that:

in acp_rivals_add_platform.php

find

and before add

then try to upload a image in a new platforum and paste me here what appear after, please.
