The bot is not used for anything anymore. When Ideas are posted they are posted with the user as the author and not the bot.

I'm not seeing this on desktop. Does it happen on other sites running phpBB?

Edit: There is a small lag from desktop, but no error like you saw.

It's only happening on this site. There's a lag between hitting the post reply button.

The same procedure happens to me (please compare post by Steve) and I get kicked out. Just happened less than 10 minutes ago.

It takes a lot of effort to find out details that are subsequently lost. I'm personally sorry for the time, effort and labour that was wasted. :?

I've had the Cloudflare captcha appear once or twice recently but strangely it's always saved my post data when I've submitted it. Are you able to reproduce this or is it completely random for you?

This has already happened to me often on this board but the message was still posted, and I don't use a VPN.

Well, I can only send you a screenshot from yesterday, which I have just updated with the date, time and timezone. Maybe this information will help you. I do not use VPN.

Furthermore, this query often works and the response is sent.

This error occurred for the first time yesterday, which was unfortunately "quite annoying" from my point of view for this post. The process seemed to me as if there were time delays.

Best regards

Can there be an extension installed on this site where we have the option to view profiles on the left as opposed to the right?

I was never a big fan on them being on the right.

No, the phpBB default is on the right side, and we prefer to keep that as stock as possible.

I was talking about having that as an option/setting in the UCP with the default setting still being on the right, not moving it to the left side for everyone, but alright.

You could always post it in the Ideas forum but it’s achievable via an extension if you want it on your forum. You can also use an add-on like Tamper Monkey in your browser to change it here on this forum.

If you are prepared to install Stylus on your browser I can give you code for that very easily. I've used Stylus for years and it's very good. If a site doesn't look the way I want it, I just change the presentation until I like it. Never causes me any issues, even when running literally thousands of lines* of custom CSS overrides.

*I'm currently running about 300 on this site.

ETA: This is all you need.

Code: Select all

.online {
	background-image: none;
}
.online::before {
	position: absolute;
	top: 0;
	left: 0;
	width: 44px;
	height: 44px;
	content: '';
	pointer-events: none;
	transform: rotate(-90deg);
	background: url(https://www.phpbb.com/community/styles/prosilver/theme/en/icon_user_online.gif) 50%;

}
.post > .inner {
	display: flex;
}
.postprofile {
	border-width: 0;
}
