Anyone every figure out an integrate for this, or any newsletter service? It would be great to get new members on an autoresponder which say, details the different features and areas of a phpbb board. Having subscribers in a customized service would also be a better way to send out updates (services are better at managing deliverability). I'd do it, but I don't yet have the skills code something like this.

I'm interested in this also, we're still just looking for which mail service or software to use, undecided so far. But MailChimp seems to be in the lead: and having something directly integrated with our phpBB board would be a big plus in favor of whatever we finally decide on.

Nobody mentioned it yet in this thread, but I'd be willing to chip in some $$ to a project to get this done: maybe someone would like to make it a KickStarter deal or something like that? How much work is actually needed to create a mod like this (I have no idea if it's easy or hard or whatever as I have no skills at actual programming... anyone who knows, please chime in.)

{Edit} As seen here, MailChimp has an 'integrations' feature for other software to connect to their system, and other forum platforms have already been done, including vBulletin etc...

I am also interested enough to chip in some dollars. I have a board of 5,000 members which I think I could manage much better than what I do today when it comes to newsletters etc,.

However, for me its important that I don't need my members to sign up again.
