is language affect on administrator CP?

Post by aqge »

I ve manage to instal phpbb 3.0.8 , and also find away to put indonesian languages both in language folder and styles.

it took time to find that language, was set by user. and there was default language, its great to know that.

But, i cant find away how to make this language effect on administrator control panel,
i've open the language file, some of them translate things like "style" avatar" and else, witch i believe was for administartor control panel....

please enlighten me, how to make this languages translate my administrator control panels,

thanks alot...

Your language folder also has an /acp/ folder with 19 files in it. You would also have to translate those.

Hey,

Are you sure they are translated? Open acp/common.php with a text editor for example to see that.

That would indicate that your user's language was set to "en". The language of the ACP should be whatever language is set for the user who is viewing it.

this support forum is very good and very fast responsive, i couldnt tell how much i appreciate it.
forgive me if my replies seems to deny all your response. there was no offense at all.

i m sure that i ve set the right package, to indonesian language. i ve delete the package and at some additional text to iso.txt something like "mylang". and reinstall the package. just tomake sure i dont make mistake in setting the default language.

but still, i the language pack does took effect on user pages, but it wont shows up on acp. i think there is some mistake on the language packge, some it ignore or miss to change the array some where to point the acp to the right folder.

if you dont mind please give a clue where i should turn on my head, perhaps i could make some change to the packages and contribute it as correction. or may be there some kind like guide how to make language packs..

thank you very much, and you make close this topic if you consider it as answered topic.

Sure, you're free to ask to the Indonesian language pack author to collaborate with him to maintain this translation and update it to the latest phpBB version. I think he will be happy to work with you. If he agrees, ask him to contact me via private message, asking me to add you as translator. If you have any questions or difficulty in this operation, do not hesitate to contact me ;) .
