Email, User Activations NOT working

I've found multiple resources for these problems on this site, but am unable to resolve my issues.

First, I have User Registration set up as an email verification. But, when people try to register, they are not getting an email to verify their registration. I can see, through the ACP, their registration and can activate them manually.

I believe this is caused by a problem with my email settings. Through testing, I can not receive emails to the user email by registering, by sending a "resend activation email" or by doing a "REMIND" via the ACP.

I don't get any errors anywhere, the maintenance window does not report anything. Mail simply doesn't show up.

This method does not seem to work for me. I am using a Godaddy Email for my ACP Email Settings.

I have attached the image of how I have mine set up. I have double-checked my password and specific email address. Nothing seems to help.

Have you tried using the default php mail instead of SMTP?

You mean by selecting "NO" on use "SMTP server for E-Mail" ? If that is what you mean, then yes, I've tried, but that does not work either.

I've also tried using other Email SMTP services - AOL, GMAIL, Hotmail...none of them seem to work.

Note that http://www.HouseOfSolis.com is simply a godaddy url that redirects to my actual site located on my hosting account. Not sure if that fact is relevant, but wanted to just be sure all info was out there.

And, I don't know if code_black_bird falls into the category of a "MOD." It is the only "extra" I've installed onto my site as a style. Everything else is the standard phpbb3 setup.

Then I assume Godaddy is just your registrar, who is your host?
The Code-Black-Bird is just a style, not a MOD.

Godaddy is the host, registrar and email smtp. The redirect url is because I didn't want to pay for an extra hosting domain, so I keep all my hosting under one domain and just get the Domain name registrations as needed and use them to redirect to my hosting domain. I have a LINUX host server set up through them and followed the step-by-step installation guide for phpbb. Everything else seems to be working fine, except this email and user-registration.

Godaddy is a great registrar, but suck at webhosting.
Most users have email issues with Godaddy.

So even if I were to use a different mail provider for my settings, the hosting server has been known to cause problems?

In the search you will find several version of the SMTP setup, some work some don't. Your default mail should work but sometimes it takes many hours for the mail to be sent from their email queue.

I double checked with our advance support. Turning SMTP to 'no' and sending using php mail() should work with your hosting plan. Due to the fact that this is a shared service, sending mail during peek times can experience some delays. If using mail() is not working please contact support at https://support.godaddy.com/support/?isc=SMFOR1 and we can review this further.
