just guessing but it is most likely that one of the video hosts that you are connecting to has changed the code you need to use to embed their videos.

That may be... However, I searched our site for other embedded videos than just the ones from YouTube. It looks like a lot of them are broken (all that I found, actually). Here's another example: http://www.potku.net/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 15#p776615

I hope this problem can be tackled soon enough. Our users embed videos very frequently.

As this MOD is very popular, I would think many others would have reacted by now if this is affecting their site. Is our site the only one with this problem? If so, then I am truly lost...

We still have no idea as to what happened and why, but we replaced to JS from the MOD authors' site. This is a bubblegum solution, we know, but at least it works now. Hmm... Our technical advisor is thinking that some PHP limit or Apache limit has, for some reason, changed on our server, and that caused the problem.

That could be, but since it seems we were the only ones having this issue, maybe their JS is working A-OK. I tried watching their demo videos last night. They all worked just fine. So, I guess it was just us.

Are there any plans for porting this bbcode to 3.1.x?

Actually it works fine as is, but there must be some CSS addition in order for the videos to display properly on responsive mode.

Many of you may also have found out that Google's Webmaster Tools fire a mobile usability warning when using this component in your forum, as it involves Flash which causes problems on most mobile devices. I guess the code would have to be changed in order to at least avoid Flash usage with Youtube.
